Before you all verbally Killy me let me explain. My son's school has an horribly unkept garden, that I convened his teacher into resurrecting for the kids. She liked the idea and in the near future some of the parents and I will be rebuilding the raised garden beds and rabbit proofing the area. Funds are limited so we are looking for some donations. I thought I could reach out and see if anybody had some lumber or fencing left over from projects around the house. If you have been meaning to get rid of it, or like me in trouble with the wife for hoarding I would love to take it off your hands. It doesn't have to be pretty or a lot. We are looking for 2x6s or around that size, and chain link fence or chicken wire. The only thing is that we cannot use pressure treated wood. So if you have some leftovers that you want to get rid of let me know. I am in north OC and will be very glad to pick it up. Thanks in advance.

My fiance owns a lumber yard. She hasn't been at work for a few weeks since we had our baby. She's gonna hit up her brother and I'll let you know asap. Text me at 5626526243. How much do you need? Give me a solid number.

This forum comes through on many many things besides reef stuff. We are extremely generous. Just watch what happens.

at my kid's school, we hit up lowes... and they donated a ton of stuff for their garden... but it's been a year now, and the garden is all jacked up... i went in and replaced a bunch of plants they donated... they really hooked the entire school up... you should look into that... they do it every break, like christmas break and summer break...

i'll look and see what i have... also, i go to the plant wholesalers all the time... let me know what plants and veggies you want, and i'll go pick some up... they're going to be small, but they're the same ones lowes and walmart carries... but at a fraction of the price... and i mean fraction... crazy cheap...

also... for fertilizer, there's a cheap way to do it... a gardner's saying is, the cheap way, is the smart way... LOL... twice a month i fertilize with epson salt or with fermented fish fertilizer... like, one sunday the salt, the next sunday the fish... stuff is crazy cheap, last forever and gives great results compared to miracle grow or other stuff... although, i do have commercial fertilizer, i wouldn't recommend using it... you can burn your plants... i hate the stuff...

send me a PM if you're still interested...

I have a ton of heirloom Blue Berry Blend tomato seeds I can send you that I saved from mine the year before last; they should still be viable (had 100% germination this year). The tomatoes are really cool because they start out a deep purple color at the shoulders (sometimes the whole fruit) and only any green parts turn red. They taste awesome and yield a lot. PM me your address if you want me to send some. I don't have lumber but I'll look around and see what else I have that might be useful. My garden sucked this year so my garden's a mess from frustration and lack of interest, but I definitely have stuff like a full bag of peat moss, another full bale of rice hulls (you can use in place of vermiculite), maybe some bird netting, etc. if you want to drive to BFE to pick up. :D We also drive to Corona a couple of times a month on weekends to swap kids with my ex so I could meet you there, too.
