Looking where to pick a bottle up that has it in stock I looked online but most are 3-7 days away with shipping I'm trying to get water mixed up for the new tank so I can do the swap wed
Rodi is fine and calibration fluid is more accurate since RODI is @ 1.000 whereas the calibration fluid is @ 35 ppt or 1.025. Cost per test, RODI is much cheaper. I've had my ATC (cheapo) salinity tester for almost 3 years. I used RODI to set i t up and after 6 months tested again and it was accurate. A few months back I did a calibration with refractometer cal. fluid and RODI both results were exactly on target.
I have the fluid that comes with my d&d refractometer. When I calibrate with the calibration fluid and rodi it's the same. Maybe the one they give for free isn't any good? Either way, been doing it that way for 12 years now.
