Hey all,

Wondering before I go and spend $ for a new one, if anyone near 92587 has a skimmer no larger than 6x6x18 for sale on the used market. The one I am looking at is Eshopps Axium X-120.

I’ve got an extra Aquamaxx HOB 1.5. While it’s an HOB, I use one in my sump cause it’s got a flat base and takes up a lot less space than a regular skimmer.

I can also use it outside of the sump too, just in case I get a skimmer over skim situation it spills back into the sump.

Skimmer cup has a drain so capacity for that isn’t an issue. It’s rated for 75g but my 100g runs fine.

Hmu if interested

First off, thanks for the reply.

Where you located?

I have 6 1/2 - 7 inches of clearance from rim of sump to bottom of DT. Will where it hangs have enough clearance for removing cap?

22 inches from bottom of sump to bottom of DT.

in sump I have 6 1/2 x 9 foot print. With a filter sock taking up some room.

it’s a 10g sump and due to my setup, it’s impossible to go larger.

What you looking to get for it?

If you have a height issue, then I’d put it inside the sump, not hanging from the side.

I have a low stand too. Alternatively you can still hang off the back of your tank even though you have a sump.

Here’s my skimmer.

I can’t hang it off the tank wish I could. It’s a clear for life acrylic. So it has a huge rim.

I think I can get it to work if I put it inside the sump… maybe lol. I really hate my sump.

I’ll PM

What’s your budget and rating you want
Budget depends.

If it make sense to make a long drive spend the gas and time for a good deal I don’t mind.
If I need to buy new I am fine with that too.

Honestly this post is already worth it because I been put onto the Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 that I really think can fit my sump. I really don’t have very much room.

Rating is 60-75g heavy load would be nice.
