I'm kind of wanting to wean away from biopellets gradually and run just GFO and Carbon. Does anyone know of a good SEPARATE GFO and Carbon reactor that is easy to clean and compact? The the individual BRS ones are too bulky and won't fit in my sump. Although, I like that I can disconnect it and dump the media out. Any suggestions? I'm trying to simplify my setup and see how things go...I like some of the ones that use PVC as opposed to bending hoses. The NextReef MR1 has been suggested. Any thoughts?

Looking for: small footprint and easy refills.

Oh, and the TLF reactor is kind of a pain to clean for me.

Hello,

Avast Marine Works builds nice reactors and if you want you can save money by glueing together one of their kits?
You can see my DIY bottom feed Carbon & GFO reactor on the DIY page. It's my design build not a Avast kit.

Good Luck!

NextReef seem to be coming in ahead. The Avast Marine looks good too, but a little more than I want to spend. Keep the suggestions coming!
