Looking to rehome a broken Aiptasia eating file fish. Warning... he doesnt eat aiptasia. Would trade for a frag of just about anything at this point but a peppermint shrimp would be great.

Omg I lmao when seeing what you posted. Broken . Why not just label the thread

Rehoming mated filefish

Sense it doesn’t eat aiptaisa then why even put aiptaisa eating lol.

But I feel your pain on the filefish. I also had one that wouldn’t touch aiptaisa but sure did love him self some zoanthids. But I’m kinda missin the little guy now. Dam zoanthids are taking over my rocks and killing off sticks.

Well, i debated on calling it a "Mysis eating file fish" as well. :)

This one hasnt touched a zoa yet. Though most of my zoas are constantly closed as I have a massive aiptasia problem. I'm close to nuking the tank. Though I will say that my RBTA split again and now i have 4 in the tank. No aiptasia anywhere near them so hopefully they all space themselves out equally and just sting the crap out of them.

Man I feel the pain. I bought 10 Berghia and haven’t seen a dent made. Also can only find 2 of the 10.

I've gone through 18 Berghia. I started there actually. bought 10, would see a few at night but then a few weeks in i don't see any of them so I assume my six line picked them off. Took the six line out... bought 8 more, 2 months later not even a dent. Actually looks worse. So I buy this File Fish. 2 months later and nothing. So now i'm trying peppermints. Bought 8 of those and i think i've lost 5 of them.

Mind you this is all in a 20 gallon. 2 clowns, 1 watchman goby, 1 pistol shrimp, 1 file fish, 3 peppermints, 4 RBTAs (started with 1), and 1 million Aiptasia.

Funny thing though... the Berghia are now propagating in the back section of the AIO. I see them back there all the time. So now if I can get the Aiptasia under control in the display area, i have a self sustaining population of Berghia in the back that can freely kill all the aiptasia back there.
