Does anyone know if a machine shop has the ability to machine out a 1/8" out of 4" pvc fittings so my clear 4" pvc pipe will seat deeper into fittings?
Thanks,

I am sure you could find a shop to do it. But the real question is why spend all that money on it. I am no plumber but pic when you with the proper solvent method creates a welded bond. Meaning it's permanent.

another alternative is to use sandpaper to get the 1/8" out of it ive had to do this to fit certain off sizes in plumbing before, if you get a heavy grit then finish with a fine grit it doesnt take that long

What's the wall thickness of acrylic tube? With the proper tools it isnt hard to do, would take 5 mins tops, unfortunately I just sold the rotary table for my mill. The issue is most machine shops r setup to make multiples of a certain parts, so to stop and retool and machine ur stuff is allot because the shop sees it as time spend not machining the parts they r set up to run. Curious why u would need to make it push in farther they are made to withstand a pretty good amount of pressure with the depth they are set at now.

Was going to glue my two "built on DT" counter current 4" skimmer's together when I noticed the 4" clear UV rated sch. 40 isn't going into any of the fittings very well. I am also using some 3" clear UV rated sch. 40 pipe and it is fitting in fitting as it should. Funny thing is when I received my order a while back I only pulled out the 3" pipe to try in fittings. The 4" will only go a small amount into fittings and it tight then on one or two the 4" will not even start to go into fittings?

Hmmm, could be the fittings don't dry fit due to out of round/flashing. I've have larger pieces that would not dry fit, but once you put the glue on them they get soft and mush together just fine.
