So I found my Mandarin sitting very still and breathing very shallow...I panicked took a few samples of water to test out and did a water change...watched him for a while and noticed shortly after that he had a piece of a bristle worm sticking out of his mouth. I stuck my hand in to attempt to help him remove it (probably a bad idea) he jetted away and it fell out of his mouth. A few moments later I found what I believe to be the regurgitated left overs of the rest of the worm he had attempted to eat.

The white is all slimy and mushy..not sure but I dont know what else it could be.
Mandarin still isnt moving much but his breathing is not as shallow a little more normal...hope he pulls through.

Dang how bizarre is that?

Hope he pulls through. I have a mandy also and really like watching him scoot over the rocks looking for pods

Yea I know, I love watching him too...I found it strange when I couldnt find him and he wasnt moving...still isnt moving much. I Have had him for a little over 4 months now and would really hate to lose him, definitely my favorite fish I think.

Mandarin is looking much better today. He is swimming about in his normal fashion and I saw him eating some frozen when I fed. Whew! feel like I doged a bullet. ;)
