How aggressive is a maxi mini anemone? I had 3 leopard wrasses but I discovered I'm down to 2 because one ended up being dinner for a maxi mini. Is this usually because a dead fish happened to drift into the anemone or because the anemone caught it and killed it? Anyone with a similar experience?

In my experience and what I have heard, healthy fish are in no danger of a Maxi-Mini. I have three large Maxi/mini in my 50G Cube along with a Leopard wrasse and other fish and have not had any issues.

I have 3 maxi minis and I've never seen one kill any fish. This morning the fish looked healthy and was eating and active but when I returned home in the evening it was halfway eaten by this maxi mini anemone. I hope it was dead already and the body drifted too close because I would hate for the other two to become dinner as well. This anemone is fed regularly so I don't know if it would "hunt" something.
