Some people target feed them, from what I know its required to feed if they are 1" or less and suggested if they are around 2" but not required. I have never target fed a clam myself

the 2" ones i got from kyle last time have never been target fed, and are happy looking.

I don't know how the one laying on the side isn't filled with sand though. maybe it's making a pearl for me.. -_-

If you keep your nutrients steady, you don't need to feed them. I've actually had more issues with clams trying to feed them than just leaving them alone.

I was referring more to food like phyto, not cal alk or mag. Nutrients meaning nitrates and phosphates?
