Well if your only goal is to post to meet minimums in order to sell, I don’t think that’s very meaningful at all regardless of the contents of the posts. So maybe none of these posts should count.

IMHO... I dont think so... post history and conversation tell a little about someone and how they interact with people and what to expect when dealing with them. But again that is just me.

IMHO... I dont think so... post history and conversation tell a little about someone and how they interact with people and what to expect when dealing with them. But again that is just me.

I understand where you are coming from. But I think the rule is misunderstood. It’s not just to weed out potential scammers. I believe the idea of the rule is to foster a community where new reefers feel like they can ask their newbie questions and get help. As opposed to logging on and just seeing a million for sale threads.

The post itself is not un-meaningful but the author clearly stated their end goal in posting is to sell stuff. Is that meaningful to the forum or helpful for them?

When you sarcastically title the post “Meaningful Post”, I think we all know what game is being played.
