I have Reefer 350 (4' tank, 75 gallon) mixed reef with no top.
Looking to add small Melanurus wrasse.
Opinion pls, is it hardy fish. I do have sand bottom. Currently have 6 fishes: Yellow Tang, Tomini, maroon clown, flame angel and 2 yellow tail damsel

Thanks

I've been enjoying my McCosker's wrasse in my Fusion 20 it's 24" length. If you're looking to add multiple wrasses into a small tank, I'd look into a few flashers. They're really active and social and eat out of.my hand. They're also pretty inexpensive too. And really colorful!

While 4 feet is plenty of swimming space, the volume of the tank is pretty low. cirhilabris are known to get big 4-5" when mature.

Oh, and you'll want a top if you want wrasses. He'll, I've had clownfish jump on multiple occasions.

I actually got my first Melanurus Friday, won in a raffle. He's still really small and will eventually be moved to a larger tank -- But for now he's in my Biocube and enjoy everything in my tank he can fit in his mouth. He will pick your tank CLEAN of **** near anything that isn't fish or corals. He's nipped at my delicious looking snails a few times but hasn't eaten them (yet), he likes to make sure the micro star arms that dangle out of rocks aren't tasty, and so far he gets along with the Firefish.

When he gets larger he will definitely need a longer tank.

I would say there are other fairy species that look quite nice, and Confuse is right about Flasher wrasse. This is the only wrasse currently in my tank, so i can't speak for wrasse compatibility -- But others have said they had great success.
