Travis, how long is your build time on a stand? We're considering getting a 72L x 30W x 24H tank and having a steel stand made. I've seen Chris's in Hesperia, very nice work!

I didn't recognize your screen name. Then I saw you were from Laguna hills. When does the new tank arribe
We're still getting quotes. The decision was made to go with Starfire glass and we changed the configuration to a smaller footprint. We're figuring 4-6 weeks for the changeover.

One last question...

Do you thing this will hold my tank? It's about 70 gallons. I want to keep the front and side open.

Thanks again. I really appreciate your help

Awesome stands Travis! If you have any pictures of your stands with skins or covers (whatever they're called) I'd love to see them.

Here is the finished project. My pops insisted on the front corner braces. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Steel was purchased at summit steel in HB for $1 per foot for 1.25"x1.25" with .120 wall

$1 a foot!? That's a good deal. Do you know someone there? An extra gusset never hurt anyone. Looks great!
