That's pretty close. Are you doing so to achieve a certain coverage or PAR reading?
I tinkered with it in the beginning and that just turned out to be the best position over the tank.
I'm new to the controller world and I thought LPS are easy and hardy enough to avoid the need of dosing pump and control. Any comment on that?
There's a pretty wide range of care requirements when it comes to LPS corals. Some like lobophyllia, candy canes, euphyllia, and a few others can be kept pretty easily with simple water changes, but there are others like chalice, scolymia, acanthophyllia that do much better with more constant water parameters that can really only be had through dosing.
Also, need your advice on phosphate control..., how are you doing it?
I run a refugium on this tank, but other than that, I don't do anything to counter Phosphate or Nitrate.
