So I did a water change and the heather I use to heat the water had an exposed wire. Anyways it pissed off the tank , had a huge die off, and most of my sps lost their color. I did 2 more water changes after that and put fresh carbon. The tank seems better now.

My main question is if sps still have/extract polyps they can regain their color right? Is there anything I can do except for keep things stable?

Yed as long as the have polyp extension they can regain color, in time. Stability is the best. I've had luck with also cutting the light cycle down a little. I'm actually dealing with the same sps problem ATM. :/ Good luck to you!
Check for chloramine Crystal. Got my arse kicked too on a couple pieces until got that solved.

Thanks for the tip but I know for sure that wasn't it.. We went on a riding trip for the weekend and our apex malfunctioned and left the halides on for like two day and the tank was at 86 degrees for that time.. Luckily no huge loess but everything is pale.. :( It's not the first time so it's just a waiting game now until everything colors back down lol.
