Hey peeps my wife just ended our six year marriage last Monday which means I get to pick up the hobby again but now with no restrictions which is great. Am looking to start with something small to work my way up. I feel that rather than paying for consoling or drinking I spend some money on my real passion. Let me know if you guys have a nano setup out there for sale.

Agree as well get the 200. You want it any way and in a couple months a nano wont cut it for you then you spent that money for nothing. Like juan said I think someone has a 240 for sale on here. Might look into that

start big... dont waste money by upgrading so many times!
Agreed. In 18 months of reefing, I've gone through a14, 24, 40, 90, 100 & currently 125. The amount of money spent & lost along the way could have been used for a bigger system that I would ultimately be content with.

Over the years I've gone through: 15, 20, 10, 50, 60, 55, 15, 60...and finally I'm stepping up to a 150. I agree with Puff...I've spent enough to setup a sick 150. But I had to keep nanos/smaller hobby tanks cuz I was moving all over the western states for college/work.

And as for professionally I managed a million gallon salmon hatchery for 5 years, a 1,000 gallon mosquitofish project when we had the west nile virus scare in 2004? But that doesn't really count cuz it was FW. I was an aquarist for my university's 2,000 gallon marine lab display system. And lastly my favorite, I was an aquatist/collector for a total of 15,000 gallons worth of display systems spread across 3 different campuses for the Catalina Island Marine Institute. That one was sick! I got to basically collect any/everything I wanted around the island since I had a DFG collector permit. That was when I was a Garibaldi/Sheephead hoarder...

I'd have to look for the flash drives those pics are on, they got lost when I was moving into my house. I've been looking everywhere cuz I have some pics that would make sweet avatars...and cool presentations at IEMAS. ;)
