Guys, I have been thinking about this for awhile. As you know, I have been selling sps in this forum for a little over a year. I am not a "vendor", so I don't want to register in the "vendors" forum. But I want to do something to giving back to our community. So I decide every month I will give away random frag/frags for one/some lucky reefer(s) in our community. Some concerns that I am having right now:

1. Should I do it? Will it affect/offense any person/vendors benefits?
2. Best way to do it? How many person can join? How to/Fair ways to draw the winner?
3. Who qualified to join my Giveaway? Sorry for stating the true, but our forum is becoming a market place where everyone just come here, selling, buying, pump their sale thread (non-stopped),...and by that we are dying. I really want to make the rule so that the person who want to qualified for the giveaways need to have at least some MEANINGFUL posts (let's say 3~5?) over the past month. @ADMINS, anyway we can control this?

Please help me brainstorm these.

I think you should consider something that promotes your corals OUTSIDE of this forum as something to qualify for your giveaway. People who are on this forum are bound to see your content.

This is extremely generous of you. To address some of your concerns:

I do not think it will affect vendors in a negative way. By doing this monthly giveaway, we can find ways to stimulate more activity on SCR. This will only benefit the sponsors.
2. Best way to do it? How many person can join? How to/Fair ways to draw the winner?
We have done giveaways in the past by having members update or create their tank thread in order qualify for the giveaway. We can get creative each month!
3. Who qualified to join my Giveaway? Yes, after members qualify by submitting their meaningful posts, they post on your giveaway thread. This makes it easier when we pick the winner at the end of the giveaway date.

Love your idea. But this giveaways will not on the purpose of promotes my corals. This will purely my intention to share my corals to local reefers and secondly encourage people to join/post more on SCR.

Actually, for this giveaways, the winner can sell back, giveaway their prices if they want to. Since the person has 3 meanningful posts and they are lucky, they are deserved to do whatever they want with the frags!
