I'm so jealous, wish I had my own office for a tank. No skimmer, just sponges and chemi pure elite and purigen. Right now were running the original pump, but I modified the plumbing so I could add a stronger pump later on. Not gunna run a power head, so a bigger pump is def needed. Picked up a clown goby today...she said "it's sooooo cute". Lol so we had to get it. Used sand, water, and rock from my tank, so should be no cycle. The light on this tank is very cool, the color is perfect. She's super happy and plans on doing weekly water changes with a Dixie cup. I gave her 5g from my water change I did today, so she should be good till my next water change.

Much better choice in fish. Looks good. I would love one too for my desk at work but it just wouldn't work with my line of work

Yep So cheap too. I just paid twice as much for that acrylic octo tank I bought. I never knew cadlights was so cheap. Even includes the nice led light

Hahahahahaha she still wants a Vlamingi tang. But I think now that the tank is setup she realizes a Vlamingi is not the best idea. She's still hoping for one of those tiny blue tangs. Well see. Prolly end up with a couple cool wrasses and a goby

She's not keeping SPS. Lol. Soft corals should do fine. Plus she's at work 8hrs a day. Should be plenty of time to sit and mess with it and do her w/c

Tank looks to be on a good start!

Here's what I just ordered for my 8g and my other tanks...I think it'll complement the 8g well instead of my bulky Magfloat.

With a tank that size, should be easy keeping good water quality with just w/c. I wonder whats best: daily, weekly, by-weekly , how much....maybe a glass a day ? lol

Looks good ! Girl friend, not bad either :)

Added a koralia nano, a Vlamingi Tang, a six line wrasse, acans, ricordia, and a hammer. She's all stoked, and the fish are doing good and eating. Yes a Vlamingi tang in a 8g tank!!! Haahha

Hahah don't worry she already knows. She got the fish knowing it would outgrow the tank. But if u look at the tang, it's super tiny. It's got alot of swimming room

Someday I'm gonna have to rehome mine from my 265. Ours is super lovable. I could catch him with my bare hands
