ya i feel ya..if i could have fit 8xt5s i would have done it..but i measured i would have only been able to fit 6 and i doubt that would have been enough light..although i dont have any sps at the time being..i might start getting some in the future and i wanna be prepared...also i will most likely only run 2 MHs during the day and just switch on the 3rd one when people come over or something like that...with lps and soft corals 2x250w mh and 2x54w T5 should be plenty...right?

90g is sold..i literally JUST bought a MJ1200 today from MD..im hoping i dont have any issues with it...which GFO are u using? and what carbon? im gunna order BRS GFO and carbon..hoping that they will work best with there reactor
I used the high capacity ferric oxide and premium rox 0.8 carbon from BRS at first. My only gripe is that the premium carbon gets into the sponge and clogs really easily because it's so thin. I always get the regular carbon now when they're on sale at Petco. I don't run the GFO all the time...too expensive and I don't have phosphate problems.

also i had a question...

i am gunna be putting the LR and LS from my 90 into the 180..but i will also be adding dry rock and dry sand....someone told me i should add the nitrifying bacteria to help my tank, just in case...do u think my 180 will be ok from adding my LR and LS from my old tank..also i will be using most if not all of the water out of my 90...figuered it would be the same as doing a BIGGG water change lol if anyone has experience with this LMK..in the past ive always used all LR and all LS..so im not to familiar with the "dry" stuff THANKS

Yeah, Nick. you should be good adding more dry rock and sand in addition to your established stuff. After 10 years in the Navy, I moved quite a lot and did just as you suggested many times. Tomorrow's the big day? For us too! We're moving (again) into our house tomorrow, but I'll save moving the tank until next week. Good luck!

That is going to be awesome! Are you going to add more live rock or just have a more open environment in the tank?

I'm in the process of putting together a 120 and am wondering what skimmer you are using!

Again, Great Job and I can't wait to see the final product!!

Best Regards,

Mike
