So today, I decided to give a small Crocea clam a shot. I acclimated it like any other fish, put it in my tank, and burped it like a baby. So far, so good. The only potential issues I see is that I have a Regal and Potter's Angel. The Regal didn't pay much attention to the clam as it went in. But the Potter's started wagging its tail on the clam a few times to make it close up. After doing that for a few seconds, it swam away. I don't know why he did this, but he's giving me a bad feeling. All that aside, is there anything else I should be doing with this clam? Do I need to feed it? Any tips?

Pics coming when lights go on...

Now, about feeding...I'm getting conflicting reports that they should and don't have to be fed. What's the deal with this?

You don't need to feed it. Croceas belong on a rock, so put it midway in your tank.

Smaller clams, like those baby maximas people buy need to be spot fed or they usually don't make it.

Mine is about 3.5". Is that considered a baby? Or are you talking about like 1" clams?

I'm talking about those tiny 1" maximas that get sold. They won't make it if you don't spot feed them phyto. Been there done that.

And remember, you have one of the dirtiest sumps on SCR, so I don't think nutrients are an issue for you LMAO

Throw the clam at the potter's angel. I bet he won't come messing with it after that.

My Regal and Potter's make me nervous. They swim by it and I don't know exactly what they're thinking...

Can I still feed clam in a half shell to my tank? Or is that considered cannibalism?
