Yes the lens came with it. I'll be saving up for a nice macro. So much to learn. But even in auto really good pictures.
you can always rent lens as well. go to your local camera shop and more than likely, they rent lens

Yea im gunna buy that camera this week. The macro only takes great pics from above eh?
no, it takes pictures from the side just fine, the problem is that you have to do whatever you can to try to reduce the distortion through the glass, which means basically taking a photo perfectly perpendicular to the glass.

this will limit you on what you can take photos of, but it works great if you can work within those parameters.

So if ya don't mind me asking…..Why did you go with the t5i? Im looking to get my first dslr this week as well just can't decide between the t31 or the nikon d3200. What ya think?

I was actually going to go with the 5300 but I went to best buy and the guy helping me was a film student and he owned both nikon and a canon and he said for a beginner the canons are more user friendly i asked him a bunch if question and I thought the canon was a better choice.
