I came home late from work tonight to find a really cloudy tank. My Ritt. Nem decided to move from the spot it's been in for about 2 years and got caught in a power head. All my fish are dead except for my clowns...not sure why they made it? But I'm really glad they did. Lost a couple of gobies I've had for 6 or 7 years. My gorgonians were dead, all my zoas were closed up and my torch collection is receded, my monti cap colonies dead. Hoping some of it makes it but it's pretty discouraging.

Tested everything and trying to get levels under control. I'm out of water but I'll be making a trip to the store to do another big water change in the morning.

Cleared out the dead stuff
Did water change
Added carbon
Skimming wet

Is there anything else I can do? Beside contemplating selling everything

Sorry to hear steve. It's always scary when those nems are on the move. That's sucks after 2 yrs they decided to move.

You're on the right track. Big water changes. I'd do 75%, if need another 50% after 1 or 2 days, probably another 50% 2 or 3 days. I'm sure you'll be able to tell how much you need water change. If you need jugs or water let me know, I got both for you.

I'll let you know Darrell. Appreciate the offer. I'm sure I'll be hitting you up to start replacing things soon.

Thanks.

Yea, I've lost a Nem before but it never impacted other livestock. To come home to a tank full of dead fish is horrible. Clowns made it through the night and I'm about to do another big water change. Hard to tell on the corals yet. It's hard to figure why some things were impacted and others not.

Dang sorry! Freaking nems... that's my worst fear with them so I have avoided them the last few years. This seems to happen a lot.
