That is so cute. I wanted a pair too but my tank is 36 inches tall and the food, pellets mysis shrimps, won't get to the bottom of the tank. They will starve to death. My fire shrimp died due to starvation I think. down there at the bottom of my tank, I think there is only the pop of the yellow tang left 
and he would not touch that, that picky shrimp. My cleaner shrimp is ok because he is jumping to the food and not shy like the fire shrimp. He eats with the fish and so far that shrimp is OK

it should grow back fine. I upgraded tanks and my pistol lost his claw and now he has it again =).
I love my pistol cause he is ALWAYS digging. Same reason why I HATE him cause sometimes he thinks my coral is rubble that he can use to make his door ( no joke I've seen him make a door ). I just add a pile of rubble near his home and he'll use it to reinforce his dwelling.
