My live rocks are turning yellow?

Hey guys so I'm very new to the salt water hobby. I been cycling my tank for going on almost three weeks now. My rocks are suddenly growing yellow stuff on it. I been feeding my damsels New Life Spectrum fish food. Could it be from the food breaking down?

diatom algae. It is normal for new tank. It will go away when your water parameter is stable. I usually do waterchange that will help get rid of them.

+! Diatom Bloom New sand and rock DIatom feeds on silica and Nitrate will go away fairly quickly water change and short time

Thanks guys. I plan on doing a 15% water change tomorrow. Should I go more than 15?

depends on how high your nitrates are, if they are up there id do a 40-50%

Did about a 25% water change and it looks like the algae is slowly going away. Thanks everyone
