you can get the cheaper canon 60mm macro and it'll do *almost* the same thing. you will HAVE to have a tripod though.

you need a tripod collar to attach the tube to, at least that's what i plan to do. i guess you could attach it to the threaded piece under the camera too, but that's kinda flimsy
