Just chilling in the porthole viewer... She loves it for some reason. Guess she's a people watcher lol
On that note.. Any keepers wanna weigh in? This is a female correct? I've only had the normal blue/ red in the past and figure sexing them is the same regardless of variety?

I'm far from an expert but really like this fish so have read a bit about them. The sharp "male" spike is much taller than the dorsal fin posterior to it. Females generally are smaller as well overall than males. When the spike is only about as tall as the dorsal fin, then the mandarin is either a female or an immature male.

Thanks.. I assumed it's a female, being 3+" now.. But was unsure of the spotted's characteristics :) want to get her a mate so thought I'd ask in case there was some difference.
