My Mr Coral Order Fiasco

I feel like I completely got ripped off but I guess I deserve it. Should never have ordered from Mr Coral's website. I saw a few things I liked and thought not bad for the price. Ordered below corals close to $200.

Sopranos
King Tut Palys
Darth Maul
Black Rainbow
Riddler Revenge Palys
STRAWBERRY PIE Acro
Bonsai
5 Color Paly
BAM BAM BABY ACRO
Red People Eaters
Green People Eaters
The beast Limit Paly
PAPA SMURF PALYS
Happy People Eaters

After I placed the order, no order confirmation and no reply from him for around 10 days. Sent him an e-mail, he said he had a death in the family. I said take your time and let me know when you'll ship. A week later he asked if he can ship on Wednesday, I said yes. Again, re e-mail from him. Asked if he shipped, he said yes but still no tracking number. Asked for tracking info, he provided.

This is the part where things went really bad. Got the corals next day. All freshly cut (maybe two were not) and in very poor health. How can 24 hour shipping cause this kind of health issues? Acclimated and put then or frag rack. sent him an e-mail about the health of the corals with a pic. He said give them couple of days. Started to notice that these are not even close to what I ordered from him (Pics below, you guys decide for yourself). Sent him an e-mail that I didn't receive what I ordered; he said he'll look into it.

I just have a feeling that he never had these corals in stock and sent me some garbage. Lets see if he takes care of this problem.

Isn't there like a million reviews about him and his shotty coral and communication?

Sorry you had a bad experience but just curious. Why are you ordering when you live in SoCal? Corals Mecca of the U.S.? :)

Man, I am regretting it now. The worst part was that this order was placed couple of weeks before Max, so I had already spent my allowance :angry:

I see a thread about this company once a month doing this. Always fresh cut an never what the customer ordered. Always shipped junk corals instead. I would just do a charge back asap. This is a fraudulent company. Do a google search on reviews of mr coral

He offered less then half the money, I refused and offered to pay $50 for 5 corals that look to be from the list above. He won't. He had the audacity to say that I am trying to scam him, lol. I guess I'll be posting in few national reefing forums.

No one on the national forums care as there are plenty of threads allready. Research before you buy. All the scr sponsors except one are awesome you should buy from them. I'm telling you do a charge back

Dang sorry to hear. I did a google search to see if things have changed with that vendor. Check out this painful video... 5:27 minute mark... read the bottle with what he dips with hahaha sorry I'm bored. 6:05 "none of these are fresh cut" but the plugs are stark white hahaha not subscribing hahaha man I'm such a dick.

hahaha sorry that's not Mr. Coral... just found that unboxing video... not sure why I watched the whole thing.

Really sorry though I hate to see when people get taken advantage of... why I don't order online anymore with macro lenses, blue leds, and photo editing 90% of the time you are going to be dissapointed. But at least you got a bunch of frags for $200 bucks... what like $15 a frag? Better than an $8,000 mushroom.

I ordered from them before long time ago. They were offering frag packs with mixed types of corals. I emailed them if they can do an all zoa frag pack and they said yes. I place an order, and I get a mix of zoas and lps. Majority of them melt away within a couple of days. Never again. They suck!!!

yep, same experience here. First order, got a melter, incorrect acan, missing one item. He says he'll remedy the issue and send me replacements yada yada. I had to pay for shipping so I figured wth, i'll just order more. Order arrives, and melter, missing coral. He apologizes again and offers to remedy as before. I just said forget it.

I'm only posting b/c someone said they liked the frag plugs. They SUCK. They are so smooth that nothing sticks to them. I super glue and epoxy and it always comes loose. I literally had to wrap the entire thing in the epoxy for it to stay put.

Check out local clubs and frag swaps/conventions. You'll be able to see exactly what your getting and probably for a better price
