This is long overdue. I've been wanting to get the camera out and start taking some decent pics to share and document my reef keeping experience and see how things change overtime. So the kids are at the babysitter and I have the camera and the tank to myself for a couple of hours :) So here it goes.....
First off let start with some FTS. It's an old scratched up 180 acrylic tank with homemade overflow I got off Craigslist 3-4 years ago.

Now some random close up shot...I used a Cannon T5 shoot in RAW mode under 4 T5 ATI blue plus and 2 purple plus and 3 Kessil. No adjustment made...don't know how...hehe. Would like to learn how to make some minor adjustments and white balancing to show the true colors. Is there like a free photoshop software I can download from somewhere? :)

Got this piece from AGE last year right before their tanks crash. JW said it just came in and has no name yet. I think it looks a bit like RR USA Red Bull...no? :)

RR USA Hannah....the polyp is really bright pink but I guess I can't capture it in the pic :(

Nice tank. Check google picasa. It's basic editing but it's free. I don't think it will allow you to edit RAW photos though.

Great looking tank, that thing is packed! Killer vivid rainbow delight, mines just blue and green so far but it's just a little 1" frag still

Red dragon...got this from David...this is one of the mini colonies...these things grow fast and I keep breaking them off while doing maintainance

Now this one is interesting...Bought this from AGE as RR Lady in Pink or pink lady..something like that. It had bright red polyps and green base but over the last year its colors had changed completely. Polyps are now orange, base is bright green but turn blue toward the tip and it has red/pink coralite..so cool...wish I could capture its true color though. I have to dig up that original pic from AGE and do a side by side

RR USA pink floyd...kinda lost some yellow over the last month due to my alk swing...but polyps are still bright red....hopefully it will come back. Grown this from a half inch frag last year. My first baller sps hehe :)

Yeah it's known for being brown initially and typically takes a while to color up though.

Wow, love your fish!
Thanks. I love my trio of Moorish Idol. I think it's the most beautiful elegant saltwater fish

I use UFRAW works great for my canon Raw pics. Free and easy to use.

Ok so I just messed around with the custom white balance feature on the camera and wow...the pictures are so much better and more true to its real colors.
