At this point I have two clowns and the diatom bloom is just starting. The diatoms only started growing on the very top most rock because apparently my light has an intensity setting... diatoms should be in full bloom by the end of the week and then i will do a water change and add a CUC. Anyone have any suggestions for my CUC?

Just got 2 giant feather dusters, 10 hermit crabs, Xenia, and GSP. I LOVE the feather dusters. They are so beautiful.

Just curious what are your plans for that conch shell?
I placed the conch hoping the clownfish would host it because they keep me up at night making me think they are dying.(I can see my tank from bed)My clowns liked to host the top corner of my tank, lay sideways, and twitch and wiggle there all night. Now my female sleeps in the conch. I'm hoping the male will soon join.

Thank you. When I searched for alternative clown hosts, only a few forums said conch. I just happen to have one on hand lol... my female is currently doing a little dance in the conch and my male is watching.... maybe he'll join tonight.

Most of my frags are settled now. The anemone has darkened in color a bit and gotten a little bigger/more open. There's this one torch that is just really unhappy for some reason.... I even have a second torch that is just loving it. Apparently my light has a dim option and it was on dim all day... my zoas were very very upset. Still have lots of glass algae but even just 4 cerith snails have made a world of difference. My new sixline wrasse is now one of my favorite fish ever. It swims in and out of rockwork picking at pods and once I saw it yawn and it's mouth just made a cute little "v" shape lol. My feather dusters have grown so much. They've added an inch each to their tubes and one has repaired its fan and the other has grown a half inch in diameter.

Got a great magnet cleaner and new protein skimmer. Both are tunze. They work wonderfully. The new skimmer has caught more than my other skimmer has done in the last month just today.
