Iv tried convicts, had no success. Iv done research in the past and It seems that they just aren't like most tangs in regards to easy to keep. They require a food source that is almost impossible for us as aquarists to constantly supply. That's just me though, I'm sure others here have had good Experiences with convicts.

I haven't tried convicts personally. they are kind of plain looking for a reef tank. But my buddy had a 10-shoal in his store. They thrived in a 220g fowlr that received a full day's worth of natural sunlight, and therefore was overrun with live algae. 20 tangs total, 10,000 gph of flow, good params as he did not have to supplemental feed much- just no coral. Then his store went out of business in 2 years, he sold the convicts.

I had a tiny one from 2" grew it to like 3.5" then sold it. Never had any issues. He was with only one other tang tho. I think you having too many they couldn't eat much of the natural algea.

How's she getting on? Feeding ok?
Still too early to say but going in the right direction. How long did yours take and start breaking down?? I have the tang for almost 3 weeks and between the Moorish and Convict they go through a half of sheet of nori a day and pellets once a day from auto feeder and frozen every few days when I have time.

First pic was taken a few days from the LFS. Second pic is 2 weeks after. I will get a pic today or tomorrow.
