Been reefing for probably close to 20 years and always learning something new. Started having issues with dinos and algae and was reccomended to get a uv for my dinos. Well i plumbed 2 55w jebao uv into my system and wow the difference is awesome. My sand bed looks like i just put sand in and is white as can be. Dinos are gone, water clairity is amazing and sps look better and better each day. At this point i dont think i would ever run a system without uv. Just wanted to share my experience as uv is something still pretty new to me.

Looks clean  Is this on your 180g? Also, why did you decide to use 2x 55w units?
Yeah this is on my 187g. From what I was informed on a facebook dino forum I needed 3w per g for dinos. With a 187g display, 50g frag tank and 75 sump 1 was not enough 2 was about right maybe a hair over kill but based off what my tank is doing im pretty stoked.

Tank is looking awesome. How long did it take to see the dinos recede?
When I had just 1 running in the frag tank it was bad took about 2 weeks to see it fully gone. But was still present in the display. After plumbing 2 in together i the sump first week and a half saw minor changes. Been 3 - 4 weeks now and its 100% gone.

If your battling dinos def need to figure out what type. As UV works on some dinos but not all. If you are battling dinos get an ID on them first before jumping to UV and getting frustrated if it doesnt work. This group on facebook is legit solid if your battling dinos: https://www.facebook.com/groups/259474048655429
