I am getting frustrated. Was gonna have chromis and a clown. I am going through chromis like candy. I have bought a total of 5 to keep a school of three. I have 2 now. 3 dead in the last week. I'm giving up on chromis. Any recommendations on what to stock? What do you guys have in your nano.
I have a 30g innovative marine.

I have checked my water and I also had the lfs check it. Nothing is off or out of parameters. I think it was just a bad batch. All three dead were from the same shipment.

In all my years in this hobby ( hobbyist and working as an aquarist) I have never killed chromis. Only thing I can think is bad batch.

I think I'm gonna give it a little bit and see what happens with the 2 I have that are from a different shipment. Corals and inverts and happy as hell.

If you go with a firefish or two, make sure your tank is covered they are like torpedo jumpers... well all fish will jump so best to get it covered anyway.

I would avoid a dotty back unless its your last fish. A royal gramma would be a better choice, they are really vibrant and less aggressive.
