Ok so I had an ich out break and want to try a uv sterilizer. This is what I thought I should get-http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.html/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/176-2537591-1225820?a=B001KP9B2W

Is this good or what else should I go for? Also if anyone has some for sale that's good for a 40 gallon let me know. Thanks

I recommend the Coralife Turbo Twist UV for it's design and contact time, one of the best units on the market! And did excellent on my 120gal. Or the Aqua UVs are great for the price! If u want something IN tank, try the JBJ submariner, it's a powerhead/UV, not sure if you were looking for an in tank or external UV...

I'm partial to the coralife turbo twist too (i'm using a 9 watt for a 34 gallon) - it's very good at controlling water suspended pests. pretty convenient setup if you already have a sump and/or chiller (and if not, may be this is a good excuse to set one up!)

petmountain has them for a pretty good price if you want to buy online http://www.petmountain.com/product/...05211/coralife-turbo-twist-uv-sterilizer.html

i usually install Aqua UV brand uv's
last forever, make sure you water paramerters are good too
alk at 8DKH is easy way to get your fish from stressing

i have never been a fan of the coralife uv's ,they usually leak at some point(the seals are vinyl) and gotten shocked a few times .the plastic twist on the inside usually crumbles away over time
