I have an ATB 840 V1.5 Protein Skimmer with a Sicce PSK1000 that is really noisy. Can anyone recommend a DC skimmer pump that is similar to this crappy Sicce pump?

Sycce Syncra is the model. It came new with the version 2 of the 840.... I've had it three years and never skipped a beat. Different sicce pump... they don't use the psk. Highly recommended.
So I'm a little confuse now. I got a reply from ATB and they stated the PSK1000 is the replacement pump for the ATB 840. What is this Sicce Syncra?? I love the skimmer but just don't want to pay $200 bucks for a pump every 1.5 years.
Have anyone tried another pump or brand with this skimmer

Yep that's the same pump I got unless the RED stand makes it better. LOL. I purchase the skimmer new and after 2-3 months impeller crack. I took a break from the hobby and before I put it away I clean and check the impeller for cranks or bulging but everything looks fine. You guys might flame me for this but my Sendra 3500 last 5 years with no issue.
I email ATB to see if maybe I just got a old style psk1000 and see if the newer one like Bean was saying are different. Maybe I will try another pump. Thanks for the help
I would get a new one, your not going to have the same ATB results with a different pump, Anton specifically designed these skimmers to work with 100% efficiency with these pumps. The newer psk pumps are supposed to be better
