I just upgraded from a 90 gallon tank to a 130. Ive been using the sca 302 skimmer but need advice on selecting a new skimmer.
I have a light bioload with sps frags.
What do u guys think??
Check out the CAD Lights TIA-1220. It's rated for 250g light bioload and 150g heavy bioload. It's a conservative rating IMO as well. Age of Aquariums has one on their display system that's a good but bigger than what it's rated for and it's kicking some butt!
The CADLights skimmer is a great skimmer if ur on a budget.
If ur looking to spend a little more money, check out any of the super reef octopus skimmers. I have the super reef octopus xp-3000 and it kicks but. Pulls out thick nasty gunk.
On a budget, take a look at the Aquamaxx and Seaside aquatic skimmers
Want to spend a little bit of money, take a look at the ATB 840 V2
Want to spend more money, take a look at the Bubble King Mini.
