I'm on the market to get chiller for the summer to come by.. Apartment temp sky rocket during summer. I have JBJ but need to be service and going to use this as my back up once fix. Teco chiller is my first choice any pro and cons about this chiller? Anyone? Thanx

My dad has a Teco 1/3 on his 225 and it's a workhorse and quiet. He has the integrated heater option as well. I don't think you can go wrong with Teco. My 2nd option would go with Aqualogic. A little more industrial looking but rock solid.

That's the exact same Teco I have on my 100g and just as Mike mentioned, it's a true workhorse. Has the built in heater so it does it all and is very quiet and pretty energy efficient..well atleast as far as chillers go. If doing it again, I wouldn't go any other route.

So with this heater option it simply say that the chiller will always have water flowing even it is not needed during winter to warm the tank??
