I drilled to back wall on my 150 my self. Ok my wife helped. She held the ro/di line above where I was drilling. I used ro/di water on a stream to help cool the glass while drilling and remove the glass dust.
I drilled a hole for an 1.5” bulkhead for my close loop system
I used painters tape on both side of the glass and don’t push hard on the drill. If your drilling down wards let the weight of the drill make the hole. I start off at a slight angle till the bit make a grove in the glass. Then once the bit starts digging in I slowly straighten the drill out to make a straight hole.
I also used a corded drill so I wouldn’t have any issues with a battery dying.
Ok I might give it a shot even though im a little nervous. Been watching a ton of you tube videos. Looks pretty straight forward. Slow, steady and no pressure with water seems to be the way to do it. Also may use a guide to keep it from wandering.
Make sure the tank is not tempered glass first. Its easy. Just go slow and clamp a hose with running water where you are drilling. Let the drill do the work, do not push just go slow.

Awesome. Im pretty sure all the Zoomed Lowboys are un-tempered glass. Is there a way to double check if it is or not? I heard somewhere if you wear sunglasses that are polarized you can see the difference. Is that true?
