Hi all ,

I recently moved and set up a new tank! I know exciting, but I unfortunately am not able to use my old aquarium light mounts as the rim on the new tank is about 1.5inches. Could anyone offer what I should do to hang or what mount I could buy to hold the lights?
The lights in question are 5 orphek or3 90 bars. Not too sure on what to do lol

80/20 extruded aluminum would allow you to build a H gram to mount all the bars from. Then you could use two suspension cables from the ceiling.

Would look really clean.

I think it would be fairly inexpensive to build as well and pretty much bolt together. My style of DIY lol.

You don't mention how far out you’d like them to be. How deep is the tank? Wall to front of tank? People are showing cable hanging, is that how the lights are suppose to be hung? Could you put a shelf above the tank and mount them to the bottom. The first ones are a real simple design. Stretch cable from one to the other or use a shelf as I mentioned. Second ones you can make yourself and buy pipe as long as needed. Spray paint them.
But if something as shown or anything to be used is attached to wall or ceiling which I wouldn't care for with such long cables dangling down. Is the tank positioned between studs to balance the distance between brackets? Or something like the third link maybe attached to rear of stand?
Some ideas. Don’t know the lights.
Had to delete links. They were our Amazon and HD accounts. That was nutty.
