I wish someone would open a store near us that actually carried nice stuff and didn't try to sell GSP or red monti for more than $5...

Man, if I had good money I would open a store and deflate the **** out of all the LE coral and nice coral in general, and pretty much keep everything on sale, I still cringe at the markups in this hobby.

Jim has all the good products, Rods Food, Dr Tims, Spectrum, etc. Never bought any fish or coral from them though.

Good Fish selection is at Pacific Reef Tropical Fish on Sepulveda, Peter is the man, he insists on feeding in front of you, looks for any markings before he sells you the fish. Has a really nice Sunburst Anthias and Mystery wrasse right now, along with some other nice wrasses.

I'm glad this store is closing. It sucked and I got into it with the owner once. I asked about a cheap coral and he said like $45. My instant reaction was "geeez why so much". He said "if you don't like it go somewhere else and the next store is 40 minutes away".

Just like that.
