I am trying to decide between a 1 year old Elos Mini 20g tank and stand only (no sump, skimmer & return pump) or a new 50g SC Aquarium plug & play system (tank, stand, sump, return pump & skimmer). The Elos provides the aesthetics value that I'm looking for in a nano reef and may be easier for wife approval, however the SC aquarium gives more volume and less additional pieces to purchase. What do you see as the pluses/minuses of each, if pricing is equal?

I also got the SC 50 cube for my wife. Its a great setup for the price. I suggest you skip the pump! Its crazy loud and way too powerful for the tank

50g for sure. You will want to upgrade the 20 very fast lol. From what I've read the stands are not the best quality

No brainer SCA50. I've had mine for 2 years and it is great. I only upgraded the skimmer. Great thick built tank! Comes with a 3500l/h return!
