It's usually not the equipment but the end user that's the problem :hahaha: Every camera has it's potentials. You just need to find it's "sweet spot". I use a 4-5 year old Nikon but I've learned how to use it. Still trying to figure out my Canon Rebel XT that cost 4X more.

Try using a tripod to steady all your shots. They are blurry b/c you are moving, however the slightest. The shutter isn't fast enough to compensate on these point-n-shoots.

If you have it on a tripod, then don't mess with the shutter speed. Otherwise, the faster shutter will diminish the effects of your hand movement. But then there will be other issues. Long story.

hey adam, that favites that you ahve, looks like the coral I have. I been calling it green favia.

Is favia the same as favites, cause they look identical.

And since it has a name, doews that mean it is worth something???

Cool, I'll be tracking this thread. My build is similar, its an old 20-24gallon odyssea cube but with no false wall. And I'm also using the 150w Viper K2, so I'm interested in how your corals, especially sps, and your clams do.

Well, my clams and my sps are growing like crazy. I mean, like crazy. At the beginning of october i got a bunch of sps, all has grown at least a half inch, all my palys have spread/colored up super nice, and my clams are loving it. As well as my chalices, they have gotten brighter then when i first got them, i have a super hot pink one i got from Kenny, it has grown quite a bit, and they are somewhat slow growers. But i also dose like crazy.
