I was going to post a complete post from start to scratch on the stand build and as well as the tank it's self. But I was working too fast and totally forgot to take pictures so here it is all setup it's a 60 gallon cube 24 x 24x 24. Built in overflow that drains into a small sumo that drains into anemone only tank before return back to DT. I have the stand at roughly 42" tall to make the tank eye level. It's sorta a pain to work on so kinda of regretting going so tall. But I like it. It will be a mixture of different types of coral just not going SPS just yet will post further updates as they happen. Hope you all enjoy

I went with a basic skinner for now. The SCA 301 and then the tunze ATO

The other little stuff was just media bags, filter socks, a digital thermometer ect.

Those SCA skimmer work very well. I had an older model, I want to say a 300? But maybe it was the 301 on my 66g. I upgraded to a Aquamaxx ConeS, only difference was slightly less sound. Amount of skimmate was the same, and I was able to get it nice and dark still.

That's good to know!! I have unfortunately never ran a skimmer and I've had a reef setup for a few years now. Just never found a budget skimmer that I found actually had good results so glad I came across this and will hopefully have it up and running this weekend. Have to built a riser stand first

So it's been a while since I did an update and I'm really bad at posting after every little detail. I usually just go do it and forget to post a step by step

So a few pictures

This is my lil work station that has a 10 gallon ATO tank and drawer to hold all my fragging supplies and food and vitamins and what not.
.

Got the apex Jr. installed and orders the wmx module for it

The skimmer is a SCA 301 and had been working amazingly

I set up the ATO and the return pump to the American Dj

I have a two stage sump and anemone tank. The top is an old cadlight 8gallon tank I used to have that has the skimmer and heater and filter sock then it gravity feeds into the next tank that has another filter sock for bubble reduction and then goes through the anemone tank and through a bubble trap and back up

Still need work on the anemone tank as o don't have much flow going through and don't want to tuna. Pump in there in fear of shredding one of the anemones. So I am looking to design a closed loop system to get some flow through there
