I just moved to the Duarte area, what other stores are around? I stopped by one on Huntington Blvd but can't seem to remember the name. Unfortunately it was closed when I came by. I'll check out Ocean Marine soon enough

Finally a store near me. Kyle told me about it. Pretty cool place. They have a table and chairs set up if you want to just hang out. They told me they are closed on tuesday because they do their livestock purchases on that day. Smokin prices on firefish and wrasses. Hope hey get some rare polyps in soon. They do sell bubble magus and my favorite reef caviar there so looks like this is my place to shop for a while.

Went there the other day. The store is well-lit and clean. No little floaties in the tanks or fish cannibalizing other fish. Unlike many other stores, this one lacks clutter. Prices were reasonable and the staff were very eager to provide customer service. They also accepted Amex... which seems rare among LFS.

OK this is cool. I just bought a juv vlamingi, juv blonde naso and a juv copperbanded butterflyfish from them. All but one of the copperbanded are eating brine and mysis in the store. Amazing. Another cool thing is that as soon as they see an ailment, they treat the fish right away.

I bought some green chromis at this store, the owner and his wife are real helpful and friendly. The owner, I think his name is Willie, also builds custom cabinets and stands, you can see his handiwork on his display tank.

I used to get everything from Fish USA but I think now that they closed I will start going to Ocean Marine Sales.

3 Thing to say about that store.

1. Clean and neat.
2. Not A lot of inverts and choices, they get their inventory from "Quality Marine"
3. Nice family that run the LFS, and only place near Pasadena that sell "Red Sea Coral Pro"

This LFS is close to my house. My fiance and I usually spend a few hours there a couple times a week. He and the owner, Willie, shoot ideas back and forth and pick each others brains. This is my favorite LFS to go to. They actually just set up a stingray tank not long ago, and have a couple sharks in there. I think banded cat sharks?

Just curious if you mean they don't have a lot of inverts and choices because of getting stock from Quality Marine? Or is that another bullet point? Only reason I say that is Quality Marine has some of the nicest and highest quality fish and corals as many of the good brick and mortars order / buy from them... including Live Aquaria many times. So limited stock shouldn't be an issue.

Where's Glendora haha is that up in the SFV?

Went by for the first time 2 weeks ago and this is another go to lfs besides sps coral store. the owner willie was super chill and the store is very clean and well organized. willie mentioned he gets most of his fish from quality marine so that's a great selling point right there. i picked up a leopard wrasse fem. and she's doing great, eating brine and pods while cruising the tank.
