I just installed my new LED light for my FOWLR tank: a marineland 36inch double bright LED panel. It cost $129 shipped from an online deal. It replaced pc dual 96 watts sunpaqs. I got tired of replacing the bulbs $50/yr.
First impressions is that it is adequate, not great, not bad. Its 6inches above a 30inch tall tank and gets light to the floor of the tank. The predator fish in the tank prefer dim light, so it will do. It shimmers more than MH! But the color looks like 10k. I dont usually buy marineland, but at this price... I likey!
