New Lumen Max Elite Hqi Reflector

HEY GUYS,
JUST GOT MY HANDS ON A LUMEN MAX ELITE HQI REFLECTOR. NOT IN STORES YET, BUT THESE THINGS ROCK. CANT WAIT TO GET ANOTHER ONE.
I WAS RUNNING(2) LUMEN MAX 3 REFLECTORS THAT MEASURE 11.5" BY 11.5"
THESE ELITES RUN 14.5 BY 14.5 AND THEY ARE CONSTRUCTED WITH MORE REFLECTIVE MATERIAL...CURRENTLY RUNNING ONE ELITE AND ONE LM 3 REFLECTOR AND YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE SORRY FOR THE POOR PIC QUALITY BUT CHEAP CAMERA...

from the pic it looks like the elite has a more centralized hotspot and not as much spread as the original lumenmax 3s.

i agree but techincally i should be running three reflectors since it is a 6 foot tank but with edison i try to get away with 2. it is definately brighter in the center of the reflector but same on the outer spread...

why don't u try using the big lumenarcs if you want a good spread all over? It won't provide you with the bright hotspots like the lumenmaxs but you'll get an even spread throughout the tank and should cover almost the 6 feet distance.

yeah i checked out lumenarcs but the large ones are se i think, and i love sunlight supply since i switched over from pfo a while back and i love a clean set up-plug and play....now that i think of it doesnt lumenarc offer a sunlight supply wiring kit...

yeh, they're only SEs, forgot you have DEs haha. You can buy sunlight supply wires.
