1, Name would be nice.......hey guys my name is jesse and i am new to this place. hope to get good advice out of this and hopefully make friends to keep this hobby going.
2, A location will also help......i live in east los angeles
3, Tank size, dimension, equipments and inhabitants............i have a 40 gal tank (for now) hoping to upgrade to something bigger soon. ive been at this for about 1-2 years now but i havent really had much time for that cuz of school. now that i am back home i can focus more on this awesome hobby. for now i have a mandarin goby, 2 clowns, a blue chromis, a couple of shrooms, and a tiny bit of xenia
4, A history about your self and how you started with this hobby----- i started with freshwater and then i realized this is way more awesome. my gf describes me as a little boy when i look at my fish because it calms me down and i space out just staring at it.

my plans for now areto try to get some help from you guys by buying, trading, or getting free frags from you guys so that in the future i can have enough to give away myself for people around my area to start their own tanks and inspire more people to get into this hobby. looking forward to this :wave::wave::wave:

Welcome. Just a tip as I've seen your post in the free section. We like to pass around a lot of good reef karma around this place so hang around and help so people out and let use get to know you before jumping straight into to the free stuff. I personally try to go for the $5-$10 frags because I'm on a budget (we all are). Keep it cool, keep it cheap, slow, and I'm sure your tank will be stocked with corals before you know it. One if the worst things I've ever done to a tank is rush stocking it. Enjoy

Welcome! Yeah get active and get to know members and you'll see how immensely helpful everyone can be. But, until you post pics of your tank, it doesn't exist haha

Welcome! This is a great site and if you can clearly see how generous people are on here. We give because we have been given. People like to give when they see where its going and to make sure it will be used so thanks for introducing yourself. participate as much as you can and you will see how close everyone is.

Welcome to SCR. Great place great people. Like others have said free stuff will come so no need to blast the free forum. Shoot Steve even gave me a free 225 tank. Enjoy the site, ask questions, contribute and you will see how great it is. Oh yeah have a thick skin we tend to give each other a hard time.

Yup. Too bad I just started stocking coral in my mothers reef or else I would've had something for u. Go to Bobs tropical in Atlantic/Beverly. They have been bringing lots of coral including frag pieces. Good luck.

jason at bob's tropical is cool but take a 10 minute drive down atlantic to bell bird farm and joe has the best deals on corals and nice fish. i lived on paramount (off the 60) 2 blocks from the montebello mall so those 2 spots were familiar to me.

side note, have you been to "cities restaurant" on cesar chavez and ford? that's a great smash buffet...easy pickens. tied with qc's 20/20 for hammered skonkis that want to "party sum more" ...lmao
