Hi everyone! I’m so glad I was told to join this group. Thank you @OldReefGuy! I am 6 months in and a voracious learner and everyday have tons of questions, so I hope you will indulge and help me. I have a 32.5 AIO and am just starting to add some coral frags. Again thanks to my new friend who recommended this group I now have some corals to start to care for! My live rock and sand gave me a good start and I’ve had some good and “I don’t know” hitchhikers, the first being a trochus snail that managed to blend in and appear the day after set up! His name is Hitch! Any advice or recommendations are appreciated and I’m going slow to hopefully be successful!

Welcome! Just ask away. Tons of knowledgeable and helpful reefers on this forum.

It's hard for new reefers to get into the hobby, especially without as many in-person local reef clubs to join. But many are online and if you are willing to drive a bit, you can meet up with lots of locals.

Thank you @drexel! Praying that as another Santa Ana heads our way next week that we stay safe from fires (I’m in East Simi so close to you)!! If you need anything as this fire weather continues, please just ask!

Thanks! I have a generator ready to go. After too many outages in the past, I needed a more robust backup, plus we live in earthquake country, so I think having a generator is a must, especially if you’re keeping reefs.
