So im moving into another house with allot more room for a bigger tank. I want to upgrade to a 150 gallon Lee Mar tank. Dims will probably be 60x30x20 or 60x30x24. Can any of you reefers how much am I looking at for a Lee Mar tank that size. I will probably go rimless with a trap overflow and black back. I would also like a steel stand powder coated or a really nice wood stand. Can anyone help me with pricing for both the tank and stand. Also, who do you guys recommend that will give be the best deal on either or both?

Thanks,

g-

call Aaron at SPS coral store for a quote as he's closer to you. He gives fair prices and is meticulous with his builds. Chad @ Coralgazers also has a great relationship with LeeMar and can get you an awesome price. In the end, you're probably better off giving them a call then to try to get an estimate on the forum as these are all custom tanks. Price will vary on many factors on exactly how you want your tank and stand to come out between other people's setups and how long ago they bought it. Either vendor mentioned will take good care of you which is IMO critical in getting your tank made in perfect condition and with the exact options you were looking for. I'd rather spend a few bucks more with a reputable vendor that has a good relationship with Leemar.

Yeah...I heard allot of good things about SPS Coral Store in La Canada...I still haven't had the pleasure of stopping by. Looks like I may have an excuse now. Actually, he does have a tank he's selling on CL for $1500 smackers which is similar to what I am looking for. I may hit them both up...Im just waiting till I get my tax money back (Feb 20'ish) before I place my order. Right now i'm just trying to get pricing.

Any thoughts on a stand?

I like steel and wood skinned stands. You can always visit him and if that's the tank you like then offer up a deposit and pay the rest when you get your tax return. BTW saw his CL add and that's a killer deal!!!! 5/8" glass is very expensive and the only way Leemar will do a rimless tank 24" high. I'd def drop a deposit on that one!

That does sound like a killer deal. Im gonna call him and see how much he needs as a deposit. I saw pics of the wood skinned stand... it looks awesome and I think im gonna go that route.

Thanks for your advice Shawn!
