Hi all!

I am brand new to the salt water world. I just bought a used 100 gal corner tank yesterday and something happened either when I was transporting it or when I was cleaning. It now has a leak. I've read that you can redo it yourself but I really don't want to screw up this tank. Does anyone know who is able to re-silicone the tank for me and about how much it will run?

Thanks!!!

Beth :) :cheer2:

Once I figure out how to post a pic, I will. The leak is pretty bad. I filled it up to the top and then checked it about 3 hours later. It dropped about 5 inches. It looks like it has already been resealed once. There are air bubbles in some of the silicone. There looks to be some cracking along the bottom and some lifting on one side. The guy said it was only about 4 years old. Thinking I got taken. Everything else was high end (fluvol 405 and ehiem filter systems plus a custom cabinet). I know people reseal their tanks all the time. I wonder if I try it, it's already screwed up, I can't hurt it much more right?

i had a 100g tank leak on me before (not my current tank) ..all i did was add silicone to all the seams without detaching or cutting any silicone out.. worked well, never had a problem again!
