My latest project is a 54 gallon corner bow front I picked up. The tank has a built-in megaflow overflow that I converted the lower portion into a wave box using a Tunze 6000. This has turned out to be one of my more challenging projects due to the limited triangle-shaped space under the stand. Below is the picture of the tank at 6 months. Still no coral but I already have coralline growing on the rocks. Lighting is all T5 using a Tek 4x24 and a 2x24 along the back for dawn/dusk fill. It doesn't look like much now but thought I'd share this from the beginning.

Nice to see you back in the running Ken. I remember seeing your old tank when I picked up the lumenarc's several years back. Can't wait to see this going full blast as well. Planning on any clams? Hopefully they don't do a simultaneous spawn like they did the last time. That was crazy!!!

Yeah, that clam spawn was crazy. I told my wife that I planned on getting a couple clams eventually and that was the first things she brought up as well
Of course this project is on a much smaller scale, no room for football-sized deresa's like last time.

I stayed away a year but couldn't do without a tank any longer. I still have a 300 gallon fiberglass bin sitting on the side of my house thats screaming "outdoor frag tank, set me up!". Then again, I have a hole half dug in the back for a pond project too... another incomplete project that my wife keeps reminding me about. Someday...

Is it just me or do we all have a lot of half finished projects laying around. Good luck with the new tank. Did you ever find a skimmer that you really liked for it?

Nice to see you here Ken. Sorry to hear about the skimmer. Can't wait to see some pix with corals in them. LMK when you are ready and I'll return the favor.

Yeah thats me, Mr unfinished project :hmmmm:

I tried out a few skimmers including a Bermuda 3C from Eric and then a 5C from someone else, both turned out to be just too big to be useful on this small of a tank. I'll be putting the 5C up for sale since I don't need anymore skimmers in my collection. I just repaired the LifeReef that I got from kenny (cracked it a week after, Doh!) and I'll be experimenting with that since I really like the design.
