I had to tank my tank down recently for a move, the new place wasn't ready and I had no place to keep the tank running, and while I am very sad there is joy to be had. I've reworked the entire system to combat so tiny issues and I've purchased a calc reactor(I need a solenoid) with a ozionizer and new skimmer to come. All of my livestock is being expertly cared for by a friend who took every piece of coral and fish so I still get to go and see them everyday. So life is not that bad and a better system is coming from this.
